The Yamhill County Branch of Hike it Baby was started in May 2016. From the beginning we have had a strong group of families showing up every week excited to find community out on a trail. Although many started as strangers, great friendships have been formed through this group. However, do not feel that you’re walking in to a “tight nit” group or will stand out as a newbie – we have new members hiking with us all the time and love to have new faces joining us. The more the merrier!
We have remained fairly active over the years and there is hardly ever a week where there isn’t at least one thing on the calendar. We don’t restrict our adventures to just Yamhill County as you’ll often see us hosting things anywhere from the Gorge to the Coast. Some of the original members are beginning to age out of the group as their little ones go off to school, but during the summer school age families get out exploring as well.
Being in wine country, you might see a vineyard hike or happy hour hike on our calendar on occasion 🙂
