Hike it Baby Indianapolis is centrally located in Indiana. The branch hikes in and around Indianapolis, often visiting Greenwood, Fishers, Carmel, Brownsburg and other surrounding cities. Every now and then we do a branch road trip to spots like Turkey Run State Park, Shades State Park or the Indiana Dunes. As a branch we often do a mix of trail hikes and park and plays. We’re always on the lookout for unique spots like Flat Fork Creek Park which features an awesome sledding hill and three easy-to-access treehouses. We hike year-round unless temps drop too far below freezing or storms strike. That said, there are also some great indoor/nature areas that we frequent like Holliday Park Nature Center or Garfield Conservatory.
